1. The main dimensions of a tunnel kiln are determined by the type, specifications, and output of the products to be roasted, the moisture content of the green blanks fed into the kiln, the roasting curve, the scrap rate, and the performance (composition, calorific value) of the fuel used.

2. The length and cross-sectional dimensions of a tunnel kiln are determined by the type, output, and performance of the fuel used for roasting. With a fixed cross-sectional size, kiln density, and roasting time, a longer kiln results in higher output, a more stable roasting process, and improved product quality. Therefore, the kiln length should be appropriately increased when roasting sintered products that are highly sensitive to raw materials. However, a longer kiln leads to a longer airflow, greater resistance, higher wind pressure in the preheating zone, and more excess air inside the kiln, thus increasing the power consumption of the exhaust system.

3. The operating regime of a tunnel kiln is determined by the product firing curve, product characteristics, fuel performance, and kiln construction conditions.
